News 2009

2011 2010

Refer to individual micro sites for further details mentioned below.

31/12/2009 Pink Treatment for Pink Yeti
Arguably the most exquisitely machined brakes on the planet, the much lusted after Hope pink brakes finally grace the Pink Yeti. For many years the Hayes Nine brakes originally fitted to Pink Yeti were regretted. A leaking bladder provided the excuse to ditch the Nines and replace with the Hope Tech X2 in pink. With adjustable reach and bite, these vastly superior brakes look stunning on Pink Yeti. Full details can be found here.

15/11/2009 The Hills are Alive
With no missing parts this time, the Ridley X-Ride was into race action at Round 8 of the London & SE Cyclo-Cross League held at Stanmer Park, Brighton. A hilly course provided Patrick plenty exercise; not being able to select all gears didn't help either!

10/2009 Belgium
A small Horsham Cycling contingent went to Belgium; picture here.

27/09/2009 Absence of Mud
With just a few vital components missing from the Ridley X-Ride, it was a case of so near and yet so far. Attended as a spectator Round 2 of the London & SE Cyclo-Cross League at Deers Leap Park near East Grinstead.

21/08/2009 Sale of the Century
Who doesn't remember those moments when you stumble across a bargain which looks too good to be true but in fact is a bargain. Chain Reaction Cycles held a sizzling scorcher of a summer sale including the bargain to end all bargains. Now what every Time Trial bike needs is a Time Trial crankset. And top of the pile is surely the crankset used by non other than Spartacus. I am of course talking about the FSA Neo Pro TT. Now somehow, but don't ask me how, Chain Reaction put up for sale about 10 of these cranksets for GBP 149.99. With a list price of GBP 599, that's one hell of a bargain. Consider also that the MegaExo bottom bracket costs GBP 160 if bought separately.
